Description:
BV-Control (formerly HackerShield) is an agent-less non-intrusive scanning product. It has good scanning results, finding vulnerabilities on par with its competitors. The UI is better than average including its ability to present results in a clear and concise manner. Unlike many competitors BV-Control doesn't try to inundate you with data, rather it will give you a single alert to cover a vulnerability category for which other scanners may given dozens of alerts. Like all other scanners, the results can be burdened by false positives but BV-Control doesn't suffer from an abnormally high rate of these.

Strengths:
Good scanning engine, capable vulnerability finder
